New Group Forming! Healing from Estrangement

Led by Holly Johnson, MA, LPC, NCC

Estrangement between parents and children or in other important relationships can be extremely painful - often devastating or traumatic. People in this difficult situation need help trying to understand the usually multiple causes of the rift and what, if anything, is best to do. They can especially benefit from the opportunity to connect with others in similar situations to process feelings and get support and help.

Led by a group and family therapist with experience dealing with estranged relationships, and drawing on the work of Joshua Coleman and others, this virtual group will be a safe, supportive space to do this.

The Group series will resume in July.
Dates and times TBD, depending on participant availability.
Groups will be held virtually over Zoom.

Space is limited and initial screening meetings with the leader are required. The full fee for the series of five groups is $325, or $65 per 90-minute group, with an additional charge for the screening meeting if the client is accepted to the group. Some sliding fee arrangements are available and Blue Cross PPO is accepted. We will bill Blue Cross directly for participants with that insurance; for all other insurances we will submit claims on participants’ behalf, but clients must pay the agreed-upon fee upfront. Participants must reside in Illinois.
