Life is a journey with many hills, valleys and potholes that can take their toll. Along the way, most of us can benefit from a supportive place to examine ourselves and our journey thus far and map out a road to a happier, more fulfilling life. I use a collaborative, relational, reflective approach to the therapy process, grounded in viewing the human experience through a multicultural lens. My goal is to create an environment that feels warm, safe, respectful and non-judgemental and develop a relationship that is tailored to the unique needs of each person.

I have worked in community mental health and hospital settings for many years and enjoy working across the lifespan, with children, teens and adults, in individual, couples, family and group therapy modalities. When working with children I do a combination of play therapy and talk therapy as age appropriate, parent consultation, and parent-child sessions, depending on the needs of the child. My specialties include self-esteem and relationship issues, behavior disorders, ADHD, anxiety and depression, adjustment issues, cultural/social identity concerns, psychological testing, substance use and women’s issues.  Wendy will be available at our Arlington Heights office and via telehealth.
