Carly Miller, LCSW
Carly received her MSW from Loyola University School of Social Work in 2019, with a specialization in school social work and a sub-specialization in migration services. Since then she has worked in school, private practice, and community mental health settings with children, adolescents, adults and couples. Carly is currently participating in a clinical training program through the Chicago Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), working toward certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples. She is passionate about helping people of all ages develop a deeper understanding of themselves and gain tools to make positive changes in their lives. Her approach emphasizes helping people identify and express underlying emotions and attachment needs, which can help them build and sustain meaningful relationships with themselves and others, and incorporates mindfulness, existential and somatic approaches when appropriate. Areas of special interest and expertise include work with children, teens and parents; self-esteem and relationship issues; couple therapy; and work with trauma survivors, including people who have emigrated.
