When treating children and teens we generally do a combination of individual work with the child or teen, parent consultation with the child’s parent or parents, and joint sessions with parents and child, depending on the particular needs and preferences of everyone involved. When appropriate, we consult with teachers, physicians or other professionals as needed to optimally coordinate the child's care.
